NUJOOM AL GHANEM

An Emirati multidisciplinary artist, poet, scriptwriter, and film director based in Dubai. Her work has been translated to several languages including English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Hindi and more. Her films have won over 25 regional and international prizes. She represented the United Arab Emirates in 2019 at the Venice Biennale, one of the most prestigious arts events worldwide. Al Ghanem was one of the founding members of the Emirates Writers’ Union in 1984 and has played a vital role in bringing Emirati culture and literature to the global stage.
